The La Crosse Public Library Tool Library provides access to circulating tools, home maintenance materials and so much more.  Established with funding from a 2022 AARP Community Challenge Grant, the goal of the Tool Library is to help our community reduce cost-related barriers to home improvement, while also encouraging the exploration of new DIY skills and hobbies.  

Winding Rivers Library System (WRLS) card holders 18 years of age or older with full borrowing privileges are eligible to borrow tools from the La Crosse Public Library.  If you do not have a valid library card, please visit our website or call (608) 789-7122.

• Tools need to be reserved at least one day in advance and all borrowers will be required to complete a waiver form.
   
• Tool Library check out limit is 5 items per borrower and only the borrower is authorized to use the tools checked out.
   
• Lending period for tools is 7 days with the option to renew up to two times if no other borrower has requested the item.
