Scarifier, Electric Overdue

This tool comes with a scarifying cylinder that works to scratch through and between the grass with specially adapted prongs that collect and remove any unwanted parts from the lawn while leaving the grass blades intact.  At the same time the machine scarifies the ground resulting in a better aeration.

Use the 5-position depth control knob to tailor the raking depth from -0.4 in. (10 mm below the soil) to 0.4 in. (10 mm above the soil), depending on your lawn’s scarifying needs. Scarifying your lawn at regular intervals cuts grass roots and encourages growth for thicker, healthier turf, all thanks to the scarifying cylinder’s 20 slicing blades.

Please note the machine is not to be used in wet conditions and may not be used to mow dry, wet or unusually high grass.  

The best time to scarifier is April and May as your lawn is growing strongly, but you can scarify between March and May, and in September, depending on the weather. You should ideally scarify your lawn twice a year, but not when the ground is cold – it should be at 10°C or more. Equally, if the weather gets too hot, it’s best to postpone scarifying to prevent the lawn from drying out.
